Civic Opera Building

Home to one of the world's great opera companies, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Civic Opera Building was constructed in 1929 in the French Revival style. The building's massive two story portico and monumental pedestrian colonnade is lined with cast iron storefronts and historic chandeliers. Archistoric was responsible for manufacturing duplicates of the chandeliers, as well as restoring the 24 wall sconces along the portico, street and river. In the building lobby, Archistoric also restored the lobby chandeliers in the grand opera house.
